Raymond Chan Review
Deep ruby-black with garnet and moderate transparency, lighter garnet rim. The nose is full, aromas of plums, cherries intermix coffee beans, spices and savoury, meaty notes. Medium-full bodied, bright acidity palate melded with aromas of red berries, plums and cherries, savoury nuances unfold, roasted coffee beans, pantry spices and meaty, mealiness lingers to a sustained closing. A coating of fine-grained, dark chocolatey tannin contributed to weight and mouthfeel, flows easily with lively acidity to a bright, red-fruited finish. Match with beef wellington and lamb racks over the next 3 years. Aged 3 years in seasoned French Oak.
